JOIN A COMMUNITY OF AMAZING PEOPLE

Miles For Smiles is a registered charity dedicated to supporting individuals with life-limiting or life-changing health conditions, as well as those with disabilities, in South Derbyshire, North-West Leicestershire, and East Staffordshire.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these individuals by providing grants and organising memorable experiences, such as days out or short breaks.

Since our inception, Miles For Smiles has undertaken numerous fundraising challenges, each contributing significantly to our cause:

  • 2016 – Ben Nevis: Our team scaled Ben Nevis, raising £3,409.
  • 2017 – Three Peaks in 24 Hours: We conquered the UK’s three highest peaks within 24 hours, collecting £6,877.
  • 2018 – Woodville to Skegness: A walk from Woodville to Skegness covered 108 miles, garnering £8,064.
  • 2019 – Hadrian’s Wall: Traversing 90 miles along Hadrian’s Wall, we raised £7,595.
  • 2020 – Brighton to Swadlincote: A 176-mile journey over six days resulted in £24,000.
  • 2021 – Edinburgh to Swadlincote: Walking 300 miles in ten days, we amassed £51,592.
  • 2022 – 33 Football Grounds: Visiting 33 football grounds over 440 miles in 16 days, we raised £62,976.
  • 2022 Miscellaneous Events: Various events throughout the year contributed an additional £16,200.
  • 2023 – 600 Miles & Three Peaks: To date, our efforts in 2023 have raised £82,316.
  • 2024 – The Seaside Slog: Plus various other events and challenges throughout the year and fund raising from others added £114,284. 
  • 2025 – The European Challenge: 1000 miles across Europe!! £40,000 raised.
    The Football Ground Challenge: 3 days, 10 stadiums, 100 miles, over £10k raised!
